I have been a trial attorney for over 30 years, serving as both a defense attorney and a prosecutor across Oregon. I have handled a wide range of cases, including criminal, family, civil, and juvenile law, and have tried more than 150 jury trials in our local court system. I also authored a chapter in a civil litigation manual for trial attorneys, sharing my expertise with other legal professionals.
This experience has prepared me to handle every type of case a Benton County judge may encounter, giving me the knowledge and perspective to serve our community effectively.
How Experience Shapes My Decisions
For more than 15 years, I have practiced in the Benton County Circuit Court, gaining extensive knowledge of the local court system and how cases are managed from start to finish.
Working as a prosecutor has given me a deep understanding of the court’s responsibilities and the perspective needed to handle every case thoughtfully and justly. I am prepared to serve Benton County with integrity and balance.

I believe Benton County’s courts should be guided by the integrity a judgeship demands. That means upholding everyone’s rights, applying the law fairly, and ensuring that every person receives the representation and fairness they deserve.
Our courts should be grounded in accountability, transparency, and accessible and impartial justice. These are the principles that protect our community and ensure fairness for all. This is what I will bring to my role as Benton County Judge.
